A tribute to fall

I love fall. It is by far my most beloved season. Yes, I said it- beloved. In comparison to fall, I could care less about winter’s glistening snowy streets, spring’s sprouting fields of flowers and the sun drenched days of good ol’ summer. I yearn for nothing more than those chilly yet crisp laid-back autumn days. It goes even beyond the weather though. In fact, I’ve compiled a list of all the reasons I love fall (in no particular order) which I have aptly named.
This is totally what fall looks like... in Photoshop.
Reasons I Love Fall by Me

  1. Baggy, layered clothing becomes acceptable thus allowing me to dress in clothes that mimic the comfort of pajamas and sweats
  2. The chilly weather often pushes people indoors thus allowing me to lounge in authentic pajamas and sweats
  3. The autumn atmosphere inspires people to cook comfort foods- i.e. shepard’s pie, chilli, creamy soups, warm baked pies, etc.- thus providing me months of gluttony
  4. Thanksgiving. No further elaboration needed
  5. Pumpkin season. No further elaboration needed.
  6. There is no pressure to wear shorts, skirts, bathing suits, or other forms of revealing clothing thus allowing me to indulge in as much comfort foods as I wish. Or at least as much as my elastic waistband/loving boyfriend will permit.
  7. The dark, cold weather allows me to pretend that I’m in ‘hibernation’ thus providing me an excuse for any notable weight gain and/or excessive lethargy
Though this list mainly focuses on the delights of basking in my own favorite past times, eating and lounging, I consider it to be the unofficial yet fundamental modern day ‘American Dream’. Don't believe me? Check out the American obesity rates.

A sneak preview of what I will look like come September, but in cat form.

Fall, please hurry your ass up.
